Auckland Apprentices Star in ECANZ Challenge 2012 Preliminary
Auckland-based etco* apprentices featured strongly in the regional preliminary competition of the ECANZ Challenge 2012. Nicholas Greig was the winner in the Commercial/Domestic category and Rowan Cann was the winner in the Industrial category. The results were announced at an Industry Breakfast Function at Ellerslie Events Centre and in recognition of their efforts both apprentices were presented with a cheque for $200 and a tool bag by ECANZ Auckland President Dave Burt. Nicholas and Rowan were joined on the winners rostrum by Reuben Wrigley and Jonathan McFall who took 2nd and 3rd places in the Industrial Category. A tremendous overall result was further enhanced by the announcement that the results achieved by Rowan, Reuben and Jonathan were of such a high level for them to qualify as finalists for the ECANZ Challenge Finals to be held in Tauranga in August.
