This nationally available course is made up of a number of competency based unit standards covering the accrual of skills and knowledge to be achieved both on and off the job.
Completion of this qualification, plus a pass in the EWRB Electricians Registration Theory exam will entitle the holder to New Zealand Registration as an Electrician.
ETCO offers a three year part time course for Electrical Apprentices covering the Off-Job Unit Standards contained in the qualification.
Content
As prescribed by the Electro-Technology Industry Training Organisation format. Course duration is 3 years. Each year consists of 38 night classes over four terms and a two week block course at one of our training centres in Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington and Dunedin.
Term reports listing all the assignment and assessment marks achieved are accessible to students on-line. The same reports are sent to employers 2-3 weeks following the completion of end-of-term assessments.
